Your role and responsibilities

Who are we looking for?

For our in-job master’s program, we are looking for highly motivated students from Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Science or AI-related program, Engineering or similar technical degree programs. In addition to a good bachelor’s degree, you should enjoy working independently, be curious about new technologies, and bring analytical thinking and a proactive mindset. What can you expect from this position?

You will join IBM Switzerland as a Junior Technical Sales in the IBM Cloud & Power Infrastructure team, supporting experts responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure solutions across across IBM Power, IBM Cloud (IaaS / PaaS / SaaS), Hybrid Cloud architectures, Red Hat & OpenShift Ecosystems.

Your everyday work will include:

  • Supporting client workshops, demos, and technical briefings

  • Assisting in architecture design for cloud and on-prem workloads

  • Participating in Proof of Concepts and technical validations

  • Helping with opportunity development in collaboration with Sales & Technical Sales

  • Creating infrastructure concepts for AI workloads and modern application platforms

  • Contributing to competitive analyses, solution positioning, and partner enablement

  • Engaging in marketing and ecosystem activities across Swiss industries

The team is currently heavily focused on solutions in:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Generative AI

  • Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • Hybrid Cloud modernization

  • Leveraging IBM's infrastructure for AI workloads

You will gain exposure to various client sets, including enterprise clients and work closely with experienced specialists across Switzerland - a unique opportunity to develop strong technical, consulting, and communication skills.

  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-moving environment

  • Interested in working with Swiss enterprise clients and partners

  • Comfortable analyzing challenges and proposing solution approaches

  • Enjoys collaborating in a team and independently managing tasks

  • Excited to build compelling technical value propositions

  • Fluent in German and English; Swiss German is a plus

This job is only for candidates who are planning to enroll in a master study and and have at least 2 years of study remaining (at a Swiss university/university of applied sciences, study course of your choice).
