Job description

The Production Planner ensures the planning, coordination, and optimization of the production process to guarantee product availability within the required deadlines from SCM, from First OP to Last OP

Ensure timely production, control all the times, guide the use of resources (manpower and machines), minimize costs by controlling Work In Progress, and support production (Inspection included) with the objective of enhancing its efficiency.

Ensure On-time Production

Make sure job orders are produced within the committed lead time by monitoring the Work in Progress

Monitor Production progress and adjust priorities in case of incidents or urgent needs

Optimize the production plan (daily/weekly/monthly) by balancing workloads and efficiently allocate resources to maximize productivity

Identify the bottleneck(s) per article and monitor the improvement plan to reduce the load

Monitor the Work In Progress

Analyze the gaps between planned and actual production to propose corrective actions with Cross Functional Teams (CFT)

Identify the sleeping parts (no movement) and monitor the actions plan with Production, Engineering and Quality to ensure the rhythm

Act as a link between the CFT: participate in steering meetings, QRQC… and report alerts in case of deviation

Follow the Production Performance

Develop and update short-, mid- and long-term production plan in accordance with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) published by the SCM and plan for dedicated resources (Workload + Production Plan)

Ensure the workload balance, short, mid and long term

Monitor the production times (cycle, lead, operating, manual, machining, waiting, etc… [TIME]) to ensure the accuracy and effective execution of production planning in alignment with supply chain requirements. (Inputs and Outputs for MPS)

Monitor Key Performance Indicator (KPI): OTP, MFG-CIND, OEE, Times, etc…

Candidate skills & requirements

System:

Knowledge/ experience in Supply Chain & production planning processes (method, scheduling, production follow-up) and relevant tools.

Proficient in SAP PP & MM module (Production Planning module)

Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Power BI Knowledge shall be an added advantage

Operational:

B.Tech with 5+ years of Experience

Planning in the manufacturing industry experience

Interpersonal and Team Building Skills
