Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a press brake with minimal guidance. You will interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate processes at a journeyman level. The role requires adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and according to specifications. An expert knowledge of commonly used fabrication concepts, safety practices, and procedures is essential.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate a press brake to form steel components accurately.
Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate processes.
Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications.
Perform multiple bends per part and reposition material correctly.
Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and angle gauges to verify accuracy.
Essential Skills
Proficient in press brake operation (manual and/or CNC) in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Ability to set up, adjust, and operate press brakes.
Experience with bending structural and formed metal parts, preferably for agricultural or heavy equipment components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and bend specifications.
Understanding of bend allowances, K-factors, angles, and tolerances.
Comfortable using precision measuring tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in sheet metal fabrication and production.
Knowledge of CNC press brake and related production equipment.
Familiarity with inspection processes and safety practices in manufacturing.

Work Environment
This role is situated in a yard manufacturing-like setting that can be hot in the summers and cold in the winters. Expect long hours with occasional 12-hour shifts to meet peak demand. The team culture is strong, fostering collaboration and support.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yuba City, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
