POSITION SUMMARY: Mistras Group, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Manager responsible for leading, organizing, and directing all maintenance operations across the facility. The Maintenance Manager will oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities, coordinate maintenance personnel, manage parts and asset systems, and ensure operational reliability of all equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety while driving continuous improvement within the maintenance program.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
Provide leadership and supervision to maintenance technicians and support staff.
Oversee implementation and execution of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs in alignment with Mistras standards.
Develop, revise, and manage maintenance procedures, work instructions, and equipment documentation.
Coordinate equipment repairs, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, and ensure timely restoration of operations.
Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance-related purchasing.
Review, schedule, and assign daily work orders; track progress to ensure deadlines and quality objectives are met.
Ensure compliance with Mistras safety policies, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment histories.
Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Safety teams to optimize equipment reliability and facility performance.
Conduct training and development activities for maintenance personnel.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or engineering degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a maintenance environment.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and facility equipment.
Experience with PM/PdM technologies (Vibration, Thermography, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic, etc.) is strongly preferred.
Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Self‑motivated, fast‑paced, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
Frequent lifting up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around industrial equipment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as required by maintenance tasks.
