Description We are looking for a skilled Purchaser to oversee material planning, procurement, and inventory management processes for our organization. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the timely acquisition of materials, maintain optimal inventory levels, and contribute to continuous improvements in supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will excel in supplier management, possess strong analytical abilities, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage material planning schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods required for production.

• Analyze historical data and forecast trends to determine material needs and issue purchase orders within appropriate lead times.

• Maintain accurate supplier and material records within the company's system to support operational efficiency.

• Provide guidance to operations and warehouse teams to ensure adherence to inventory management processes.

• Monitor inventory levels, implement controls, and perform system transactions to maintain accuracy.

• Lead periodic inventory counts and identify opportunities to improve stock levels, flow, and accuracy.

• Conduct supplier evaluations and manage onboarding processes for new vendors.

• Communicate with suppliers to address delivery timelines and resolve procurement issues effectively.

• Support cost-saving initiatives and drive improvements in supplier performance.

• Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing material flow and reducing inventory levels. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, material planning, or inventory management.

• Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory control techniques.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.

• Ability to analyze data and forecasts to make informed purchasing decisions.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.

• Experience in leading inventory counts and ensuring compliance with inventory protocols.

• Proven ability to drive cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvements.

• Familiarity with domestic and international shipping and transportation planning.
