Canduct Industries & Specialty Transformer Components is seeking to hire a production worker to manufacture insulation components per customer requirements / specifications.

Position Duties & Responsibilities
Use various power tools & machinery such as various saws to manufacture insulation components
Assemble products
Follow customer technical drawings and processes
Follow company health & safety, housekeeping initiatives
Carry out basic quality checks
Use power tools and equipment to fulfill orders
Pack goods to be shipped
Maintain work areas and equipment
Other duties as directed
Quality Responsibilities
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to products, processes, and quality systems. This includes halting production of any product to correct quality problems.
Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, or quality system.
Initiate, propose, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Verify, or participate in the verification of implemented solutions.
Control further processing or delivery of non-conforming product until the non-conformity has been corrected.
Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions related to the Quality System.

Health & Safety Responsibilities
Perform general workplace inspections.
Attend information sessions (safety talks, staff meetings, tailgate / toolbox meetings).
Ensure all accidents/incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are reported.
Ensure that new and existing subordinates and / or peers receive training for new jobs and processes.
Correct sub-standard acts or conditions.
Sect 25 and 26 of the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA).
Follow general plant rules, understand and comply with applicable legislated requirements.
Environmental Responsibilities
Initiate action to prevent or reduce the discharge and/or disposal of waste into the environment.
Identify and record problems related to the handling or disposal of waste in the process.
Initiate, propose, or provide solutions related to potential improvements to the handling or disposal of waste in the process through reclamation and / or recycling.
Verify, or participate in the verification of implemented solutions.
Control further discharge or disposal of waste until an environmentally sound solution has been implemented and verified.
Initiate, propose, or provide potential process improvements to reduce or eliminate the generation of waste.

Prior woodworking experience
Ability to read tape measure & ruler (metric & imperial)
Prior machine operation experience
Blueprint / schematic drawing experience is a plus
Must train on dayshift for 6 -- 8 weeks
Position Specific Training
Varies by work cell location can include: drill press, band saw, router, forklift, specific machine training.
Additional Details:
Afternoon shift (2:00pm -- 10:30pm)
Hourly Wage: $17.00 - $19.00 plus $.50 shift differential
