Recon Construction Services Inc. Truck Driver in York, Pennsylvania
Essential Functions
- Class A or B "CDL" with Tank Endorsement required in order to drive single and/or dual (tandem) axle water truck, tankers, and lowboys with equipment to and/or on project sites within 200-mile radius of York, PA.
- Must perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks along with daily maintenance (fluid levels, lights, etc.).
- Learning proper techniques for loading, unloading, and chaining down of equipment.
- Ability to load, haul, and offload water with the constant awareness of liquid surge and spills.
- Ability to load, haul, and offload different products using tanker with constant awareness of the potential hazards. Should have a copy of the MSDS sheets with them.
- Must be capable of working independently.
- Complete drivers logs and other paperwork/record keeping as required
- Traveling extensively within 200 mile radius of York, PA with the ability to provide own transportation to project sites within such work area.
- Flexibility in hours he/she can work.
- When not performing truck driver duties add an additional support crew as directed by foreman.
Physical Requirements of the Essential Functions
- Must be able to lift up to 60Ibs from ground level to waist level and 30Ibs to above shoulder level throughout a scheduled work shift.
- When driving a truck, almost consistent sitting is required.
- When connecting hoses and performing other operations will walk and/or stand frequently.
- Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.
- Must be able to climb on top of tanks to open and close lids.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, and crawl.
- Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather.
- Position requires acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing.
- Must be able to work and walk uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to maneuver trucks around in confined lane closures with constant awareness of co-workers, equipment, and live traffic.
