CBRE Sr. Automation Technician in York, Pennsylvania

About the role

As a CBRE Sr Material Handling Maintenance Technician,you will be responsible for complex installation, preventive maintenance, andthe corrective repair of automated packing and distribution equipment.

This job is part of the Material Handling job function. Theyare responsible for the incoming and outgoing movement and storage of rawmaterials, finished products, and parts.

What you’ll do

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladderdiagrams, control components - photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limitswitches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequencyinverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.

Troubleshoot PLC programs including using ladder logic,components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) andcommunications modules (Ethernet).

Maintain and trouble-shoot power distribution systems,branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods andmaterials up to 480V.

Create and close work orders to include labor hours,equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system.

Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets toinclude coordinating with operations, locating parts/tools for repair,scheduling time with equipment, etc.

Have some knowledge of standard principles with limitedpractical experience in applying them.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent withCBRE RISE values. Impact the quality of own work.

Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieveobjectives and meet deadlines.

Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, andcheck for understanding.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.

Experience with Automated conveyor systems and controls,preventive maintenance procedures, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs,National Electric Code (NEC).

Experience with blueprints and schematics; electrical andelectronic principles, industrial electrical, controls, and work ordermanagement.

Meet the physical requirements of this role includingstooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability tolift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Ability to use existing procedures to solve standardproblems.

Experience with analyzing information and standard practicesto make judgments.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examplesinclude Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum rate for the Waste Coordinator position is $17.79 per hour and the maximum rate for the Waste Coordinator position is $26.92 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
