BAE Systems Program Manager in York, Pennsylvania

Job Description

BAE Systems is hiring a Program Manager (PM) to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business on the M109 Paladin Integrated Management (PIM) production program. This is a great opportunity to join an outstanding Artillery team with a long-standing future and to build your Program Management career. In this role, you will perform tasks across all spectrums of Program Management with a focus on Control Account Management, Risk Management, change management, and program coordination.

Location/Schedule/Travel:

  • This position will be based in one of the following locations:

  • York, Pennsylvania

  • Elgin, Oklahoma

  • Anniston, Alabama

  • This is a Hybrid role where you will work onsite on average 3 days a week and remote 2 days a week, based on business needs.

  • This position will involve 10% of travel, based on business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support program organization, planning, program management, and change management according to BAE life cycle management (LCM) processes

  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for the program management team and evaluate program wide financial/schedule performance

  • Assume the responsibility for the program s risk management activities, with a focus on timely and proactive risk management

  • Support change management activities including change proposals, scope management, and baseline change implementation.

  • Support and run program meetings to include agenda development, meeting coordination, action documentation, and execution follow-up

  • Engage cross-functional teams to understand program requirements and deliver all required products on time while minimizing duplicate and overlapping activities

  • Support program management including, requirements management, schedule estimating, cost estimating, earned value management (EVM), and risk and opportunity management

  • Meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit, and cash flow

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience in Program/Project Management

  • Knowledge of Program/Project Management methodologies, toolsets, process, and governance

  • Ability to manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects

  • Ability to engage cross-functional teams for planning and executing the work to minimize duplicate/overlapping activities

  • Ability to operate independently and proactively

  • Customer focus and relationship building skills

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Effective critical thinking skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • CAPM/PMP Certification in Program Management

  • Experience in Defense/Government Contracting

  • Experience in Manufacturing/Production

  • Experience in Control Account Management

  • Experience and thorough understanding of Risk management principles and approaches

  • Demonstrated ability to creatively problem-solve and implement lessons learned

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
