Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role is responsible for maintaining the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an industrial manufacturing facility and its office areas. You will focus on preventive maintenance, timely repair of production equipment, and support for continuous improvement projects using LEAN Manufacturing methods. Working closely with the production team, you will schedule and perform maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to maintain optimal operating efficiency and reduce unplanned downtime.

  • Respond promptly to production maintenance repair requests and troubleshoot issues to restore equipment to service as quickly as possible.

  • Allocate time effectively to complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks within established schedules.

  • Collaborate with the production team to plan and schedule maintenance and repair work, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.

  • Communicate equipment status and repair progress clearly and promptly to production and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Perform general facility and office maintenance tasks as needed, including basic building and utility upkeep.

  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement and LEAN Manufacturing projects focused on safety, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment using test equipment, electrical and mechanical schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer manuals.

  • Conduct research as needed to diagnose complex equipment issues and identify effective repair solutions.

  • Use appropriate tools, including multi-meters and precision measuring instruments, to diagnose and resolve equipment problems.

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Follow all applicable safety standards and best practices related to industrial electrical work and mechanical maintenance.

  • Document maintenance activities and communicate findings and recommendations using written and electronic communication tools.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar industrial maintenance role.

  • Strong industrial electrical knowledge and skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Experience installing electrical services up to 480 volts in an industrial environment.

  • Proficiency using multi-meters and related test equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues on production machinery.

  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E Arc Flash regulations is highly preferred.

  • Proficient industrial mechanical skills, including the ability to read mechanical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.

  • Hands-on experience with both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.

  • General maintenance skills across multiple trades, including plumbing, carpentry, and other facility-related tasks as required.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52437.00 - $69909.00/yr.
