We’re looking for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our York, PA team and play a key role in supporting our attorneys while keeping billing accurate, compliant, and on track. What You’ll Do:
Take ownership of billing for a designated group of attorneys, keeping a close eye on unbilled time and proactively resolving problem accounts.
Manage the full eBilling lifecycle—submitting invoices, monitoring rejections, coordinating collections, and producing reporting with accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare and analyze ad hoc billing reports that help drive smarter decisions and smoother operations.
Spot opportunities to streamline billing workflows and partner with the team to implement improvements.
Serve as a go‑to resource for attorneys and clients by answering billing questions and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Maintain clear, well‑organized billing records that support accuracy, audits, and compliance.
Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, vendors, and clients to ensure everyone has the billing information they need.
Ensure billing systems and practices align with internal standards, client requirements, and industry expectations.
Assist with retrieving and distributing billing documentation and related materials as needed.
Handle sensitive financial information with discretion, care, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent hands‑on experience that proves you know your way around the numbers.
At least 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections, ideally within a law firm or another client‑focused professional services environment.
Strong people and communication skills, with the confidence to work comfortably with attorneys, leadership, and clients alike.
Solid technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), plus experience working with eBilling and accounting systems.
The ability to stay organized, juggle multiple priorities, and keep projects moving without missing a beat.
A self‑starter mindset—you’re comfortable working independently, adapting quickly, and staying accountable in a fast‑paced setting.
A track record of building trusted, professional relationships, whether collaborating in person or connecting remotely.
