Help Wanted: Farm Operations / Property Maintenance Supervisor Trainee

Small family farm and retail fruit stand seeking a dependable, hands-on person to work alongside our current supervisor and gradually take over day-to-day operations over the next 3-5 years.

About the Farm

1. 15+ acre farm
2. Limited crops with more than 100 fruit trees, including peach trees
3. Retail fruit stand supported by both farm-grown produce and produce purchased at auctions
4. Approximately 5 workers throughout the year
5. One large pony

Job Duties

1. Help manage daily farm operations and seasonal workers
2. Assist with planting, spraying, pruning, mowing, harvesting, and general farm work
3. Help run and support the retail fruit stand operation
4. Attend produce auctions as needed
5. Perform maintenance and repairs on small farm equipment, tractors, and sprayers
6. Assist with maintenance issues at other properties we own
7. Basic property maintenance including:
8. Small engine and equipment repair
9. Basic plumbing
10. Basic electrical work
11. General repairs and upkeep

Equipment

1. Basic tractors and sprayers (nothing too large)

Requirements

1. Reliable and dependable
2. Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
3. Experience with farming, orchards, landscaping, property maintenance, or equipment repair preferred
4. Ability to learn and eventually supervise day-to-day operations
5. Mechanical ability strongly preferred
6. Basic plumbing and electrical skills helpful
7. PA Driver's License

Schedule

1. No weekends
2. No evenings
3. Full-time preferred

Pay

Pay based on experience.
