Job Title: Facilities Technician
Job Description
The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role within the maintenance department, assisting in a variety of tasks throughout the plant. This utility position involves light carpentry, general painting, moving, reorganizing, grounds work inside and outside, and assisting with other maintenance tasks.
Shift and Pay
Mon-Fri day shift - 6am-2:30pm, but may be asked to work 7am-3:30pm with Saturdays as work is needed and longer hours when needed
$24-$26/hr
Responsibilities
Perform light carpentry tasks.
Conduct general painting work.
Assist in moving and reorganizing items within the facility.
Carry out grounds work both inside and outside the plant, including snow removal, grass cutting, and landscaping.
Support other maintenance tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in painting and carpentry.
Groundskeeping experience.
Mechanical inclination.

Work Environment
The work environment includes multiple plants equipped with conveyors, packing machines, and fryers. Expect hot and humid conditions within the plant. Slip-resistant shoes are necessary due to oil from fryers, with steel toes preferred for maintenance tasks. The dress code allows shorts, but maintenance requires jeans or work pants. Adherence to GMPs for food safety is mandatory, including restrictions on ripped clothing, jewelry, and fake nails. The company provides PPE such as safety glasses, ear protection, and welding gear.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
