Countywide Transportation Bus Attendant Westchester County in Yonkers, New York
As a Bus Attendant you will be responsible for:
Checking the daily sheet PRIOR TO LEAVING THE BASE to make sure you have the proper equipment needed for clients (wheelchair tie downs, harnesses, etc) Calling clients BEFORE REACHING THE ASSIGNED PICK UP when running late. Monitor clients with special needs ensuring the safe boarding and transportation of all clients until they are dropped off at their destination. Secures clients and/or their equipment (e.g. restraints, wheelchair tie downs, seat belts or harnesses) for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during transportation. Checks bus after every route to ensure all passengers have disembarked at their proper location Prepares reports (e.g. attendance sheets, incident reports for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel for their action. YOU MUST BE OVER 21 due to insurance purposes & BE ABLE TO SPEAK, WRITE & UNDERSTAND ENGLISH
Are you available to start between 6:45 and 7:00AM every Morning AND between 2:00 & 2:30PM for the afternoon shift, no matter what the weather?
We work Monday through Friday regardless of the weather Rain, Sleet or Snow, Cold or Heat and YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK BOTH SHIFTS AM and PM on a regular, consistent basis.
