Job Title: IT -Sr Systems Engineer
Locations: Cadence Yokohama Office
Job Overview:
The role will be based in our Cadence Yokohama Office. Candidate will be a member of our Global IT Site support team on the ground providing IT support. Engineer will be providing & owning support at multiple locations in Japan. Engineer will be working with our global IT teams including but not limited to, our network, storage, INFOSEC, Desktop and PMO teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Front line on the ground local support for all aspects of IT for sites in Japan.
Linux\Windows\MAC installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, service, and break-fix issues.
Troubleshoot applications issues on across multiple platforms including smart devices.
Assist users in daily problem solving and act as an escalation point to our service desk that relate to local user issues.
Will be required to work occasional unusual hours based on emergencies and maintenance needs.
Management inventory of systems & accessories while adhering to asset management process.
Manage assigned tickets while ensuring adherence to stated SLA’s for all Jira tickets
Manage and maintain site documents as part of Site consistency program.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years’ continued experience in IT role preferable within multinational.
Experience troubleshooting Network systems in global environment
Experience troubleshooting Linux & Windows & MAC systems in global environment.
Experience with AI script, Python and Json will be beneficial.
Experience with systems tools including SCCM
Experience working on projects & ability to drive & own initiatives is essential
Nice to have:
A team player
Excellent communication skills which will be required to engage with senior R&D and IT staff across the globe.
Experience with all aspects of laptop, desktop & peripheral hardware.
Deep OS and configuration troubleshooting.
Hands on Linux installation & troubleshooting experience.
Excellent communication skills which will be required to engage with senior R&D and IT staff across the globe.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot basic networking problems.
