Responsibilities for the role:
Contract review and process purchase requisitions for indirect goods and services for multiple sites.
Interact with suppliers, obtain quotes, submit purchase requests.
Routine purchase order acknowledgement / confirmation and follow-up with suppliers.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to expedite purchasing requests.
Track PR/PO performance and action supporting efficiency and customer experience.
Provide general administrative support to procurement operations team.
Partner closely with all GSS Buyers and AP to review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies.
Collect, edit, and provide Procurement data for financial analysis supporting supplier management.
Work with e-Procurement admin on system issues, enhancements, and requests.
Drive the Global Procurement Policy through partnering, collaboration, and training.
Ensure execution of defined purchasing requirements through to delivery in line with audit 3-way match SOX process.
Explore opportunities to drive cost savings target through supplier spend consolidation.
Support the management of supplier relationships (SRM). For key relationships this includes conducting bi-annual business reviews and evaluating opportunities to negotiate across different engagements.
Develop expertise in the categories in scope, leveraging internal and external sources.
Assist the Supplier Life Cycle management team to create and maintain supplier records.
Support Procurement Projects as required.

Individual’s aspiring to this position is expected to develop and possess these attributes as most employers usually demand them.
A graduate degree in business, finance and or purchasing preferable, with 3-4 years’ experience in a global procurement operations role.
Display of procurement mastery within a team to adhere to an execution methodology and originate high quality execution.
Excellent verbal experience in organizing, leading, and conducting presentations by providing recommendation and guidance, mitigating risk and any effects on other systems and processes.
Highly established working knowledge of procurement operations.
Process skills driving execution reviews and updates delivering exceptional customer experience.
Exceptionally capable of analytical thinking.
Ability to perform consulting tasks and explain intricate procurement procedures in nonprofessional terms.
Deliver training as necessary around policies, procedures, and technology.
Exceptional knowledge of ERP systems. i.e., SAP, Coupa, Ariba, Oracle, Workday, Tableau, Sharepoint etc.
Particularly good working knowledge of MS office suite including Teams, OneDrive, and Zoom programs.
Japanese and English language speaking / written skills.
This role based in Yokahama, Japan.
