Manulife Manager, Distribution Operations & Compensation in Yangon, Myanmar (Burma)
The Distribution Operations & Compensation Manager is responsible for designing, governing, and enhancing compensation structures across all distribution channels. This includes managing commissions, incentives, and payment automation while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with corporate strategy. The role also oversees distribution operations, including onboarding and de‑boarding processes, audit readiness, documentation of distribution systems, and continuous process improvement. Additionally, the position contributes to market share analysis, corporate strategy execution, and strategic ad‑hoc projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and manage compensation frameworks aligned with corporate strategy, ensuring competitiveness, compliance, and effectiveness across all distribution channels.
Oversee end‑to‑end commission, incentive, and payment processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, SLA adherence, and driving payment automation improvements.
Conduct data analysis and reporting, including performance insights, compensation modeling, and preparation of dashboards for senior management.
Oversee onboarding and de‑boarding of distribution partners, ensuring proper documentation, system setup/termination, compliance checks, and risk mitigation.
Perform market share and competitor analysis to support strategic planning and enhance distribution channel competitiveness.
Ensure strong audit readiness and compliance, leading internal/external audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Manage SOP development, maintenance, and continuous improvement for all compensation, operations, and distribution processes.
Support to RCSA (Risk & Control Self‑Assessment) and strengthen internal controls to ensure operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
Maintain system documentation for distribution administration systems, ensuring version control, process mapping, and governance of system changes.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives, simplifying workflows, reducing manual tasks, and improving operational efficiency.
Support corporate strategy ad‑hoc projects, providing analysis, operational leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in compensation management, sales operations, or financial analysis (preferably in insurance or financial services).
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.Strong understanding of distribution channels and sales incentive programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Words, reporting tools, and compensation systems. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines. Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Familiarity with legal requirements related to compensation
