Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Extra Help Intern to support our team with daily administrative tasks, filing, and organizational needs, while also assisting with veteran support activities and gaining exposure to how we connect veterans with local, state, and federal resources, as well as other general department functions. This internship provides hands-on experience and an opportunity to develop valuable skills in office administration, recordkeeping, customer service, community outreach, and understanding veteran social services and resources.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with filing, data entry, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.

``` - Help staff connect veterans with local, state, and federal resources, and support outreach efforts.

``` - Assist with planning and preparing materials for veteran events, workshops, or informational sessions.

``` - Perform general office duties such as answering phones, responding to inquiries, and supporting daily departmental operations.

Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accredited college program in relevant field:

``` - Social work, human services, public administration, or a related field. - Basic understanding of office procedures and computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry). - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Working Conditions:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
