Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description
The Project Engineer assists the Assistant Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of projects. This role is responsible for maintaining aspects of the project schedule, as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets. The goal is to complete projects with quality, profitability, and compliance with our Safety/Zero Harm culture.
Responsibilities
Manage project financial responsibilities.
Provide preconstruction services.
Assist in project start-up and scheduling.
Handle Requests for Information (RFI).
Process change orders.
Manage submittals.
Oversee project administration, coordination, and close-out.
Promote customer relations.
Foster a culture of leadership and employee development.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field.
2+ years of experience within a general contractor in commercial tenant improvement.
Experience in RFIs, submittals, close-out procedures, project management, construction management, change orders, project engineering, and commercial construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting healthcare/clinical projects is preferred.
Experience with Procore is preferred; general project management software experience is required.
Work Environment
The position requires working 100% onsite at an office in Yakima, with occasional travel onsite. The role reports to the onsite Assistant Project Manager. The work involves supporting large critical projects in Eastern WA, with exposure to healthcare projects, data centers, and more.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Yakima, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr.
