Job Description

The foreman leads and coordinates crews and subcontractors performing framing and stucco work on residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. This role oversees daily jobsite operations, ensures all work is completed safely, on schedule, and to established quality standards, and serves as the primary point of contact between field crews, subcontractors, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor crews performing framing and stucco work on residential, multifamily, and commercial projects.

  • Plan daily jobsite activities, assign tasks to crew members, and ensure proper sequencing of work to meet project milestones.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and execution of framing and stucco scopes.

  • Enforce jobsite safety standards, company policies, and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Monitor the quality of work performed and ensure compliance with project standards, building codes, and inspection requirements.

  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades to maintain project schedules and minimize downtime.

  • Track daily and weekly progress, identify potential issues, and proactively resolve delays or conflicts in the field.

  • Verify that materials, manpower, and equipment are available when needed and are used efficiently to reduce waste and rework.

  • Provide hands-on support on site as needed, assisting with framing, stucco, and related construction tasks.

  • Train, mentor, and support crew members and subcontractors to improve performance, safety awareness, and craftsmanship.

  • Communicate clearly with crews and project stakeholders regarding expectations, changes, and jobsite conditions.

  • Support bidding and planning efforts by understanding scopes of work, installation requirements, and resource needs.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in construction with a strong background in framing and stucco work.

  • Hands-on carpentry and framer experience in residential, multifamily, or commercial projects.

  • Ability to run and manage multiple crews effectively in the field.

  • Strong blueprint and plan reading skills to interpret construction documents and specifications.

  • Solid understanding of scheduling and time management in a construction environment.

  • Ability to enforce and follow jobsite safety standards and OSHA requirements.

  • Clear and professional communication skills with crews, subcontractors, and project management.

  • Bilingual communication skills to effectively coordinate diverse crews (where applicable).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors performing framing, stucco, and related trades.

  • Familiarity with bidding processes and understanding of scopes of work for framing and stucco.

  • Experience verifying and organizing materials, manpower, and equipment for efficient installation.

  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop crew members into higher-responsibility roles.

  • Experience working across residential, multifamily, and commercial construction environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify field issues and implement practical solutions.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role on active construction sites, with daily hands-on involvement in framing and stucco work. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to OSHA standards, and efficient use of materials, manpower, and equipment. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Yakima, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
