FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: _04:00-1230, Alternating weekends Position Summary The Phlebotomist is an excellent opportunity at on the MultiCare Laboratory Services team, responsible for obtaining blood specimens from patients of all ages primarily in an acute care, and ambulatory setting. In this role, you will collaborate with the laboratory and patient care teams to provide a high-quality level of phlebotomy services. Responsibilities You will establish positive patient identification under all circumstances You will collect and process specimens using approved procedures You will perform venipuncture and capillary puncture using appropriate safety equipment and PPE following approved procedures You will employ optimum techniques to ensure collection of a high quality specimen the first time Requirements High school graduate or equivalent preferred Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification (MA-P) or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible ASCP or NCA certification preferred Certification as MLT or equivalent preferred Recent phlebotomy experience preferred About Yakima Memorial Hospital MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital has served the Yakima Valley since 1950.
