Eaton Corporation Senior Supplier Quality Engineer in Xizhi District, Taiwan

What you’ll do:

The Senior Supplier Development Engineer supports the Eaton Global Procurement Organization and the business by developing, qualifying, and continuously improving suppliers across Taiwan to ensure robust product quality, manufacturing capability, and on‑time delivery. This role partners closely with procurement, engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction and ongoing production, while driving supplier readiness and performance improvement throughout the supplier lifecycle

"Supplier Assessment & Development

  • Conduct on‑site supplier assessments across Taiwan to evaluate quality systems, manufacturing processes, capacity, and operational readiness.

  • Develop and qualify suppliers in alignment with procurement and business requirements, ensuring compliance with applicable quality and technical standards.

  • Identify supplier risks related to quality, capacity, delivery, and technical capability, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Support

  • Support supplier readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI), including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) planning, execution, and approval.

  • Support prototype builds, qualification activities, safe launch, and production ramp‑up at supplier sites to ensure a smooth transition into mass production.

  • Ensure suppliers meet defined quality, delivery, and capability milestones prior to and during production launch.

Supplier Performance and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM), PPAP first‑pass yield, delivery performance, cost and overall supplier capability.

  • Support root cause analysis and structured problem‑solving activities for supplier quality issues.

  • Monitor supplier performance trends and support actions to sustain long‑term improvement.

Cross‑functional and Procurement Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Category Management, Project Management, Engineering, and Receiving Plant teams on supplier selection, qualification, and resourcing decisions.

  • Serve as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve supplier quality and delivery issues in a timely and structured manner."

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.

8+ years of relevant experience

Skills:

"- Demonstrated working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and core quality tools.

  • Solid understanding of electrical components, devices, assemblies, and related manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, International Automotive Task Force (IATF) 16949, or

comparable quality management systems.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a hands‑on, results‑oriented approach.

  • Proven experience in electrical, power, energy storage, or industrial electrical products preferred.

  • Travel to supplier sites across Taiwan as required.

  • Strong English communication skills"
