Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Automation Machine Builder to join our Build Floor Department in Wyoming, Michigan. In this hands-on leadership role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly, integration, and debugging of custom automation systems and robotic machinery. You will lead complex builds, mentor junior builders, and collaborate with engineering and controls teams to bring machines from blueprint to fully functioning systems. This position is critical to the success of our machine build and commissioning operations.
Lead the mechanical assembly and integration of custom automation systems.
Debug robotic machinery and ensure systems function correctly.
Mentor junior builders and provide guidance on complex builds.
Collaborate with engineering and controls teams to achieve project goals.
Manage small teams or independent projects effectively.
Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Essential Skills
Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical assembly and machine building for automation or special machinery.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, servo motors, and industrial components.
Ability to interpret and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
Demonstrated leadership in machine assembly and ability to manage small teams.
Skilled with hand tools, precision measurement instruments, and alignment techniques.
Strong troubleshooting skills and a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience integrating robotic systems such as FANUC, ABB, YASKAWA is highly preferred.
Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) for machine installs and service.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $72800.00/yr.
Good Benefits: Dental, Vision, and Medical. I have the benefits coverage in a saved document upon request. Low premiums and two different packages to choose from. Benefits start the 1st of the month 60 days after PTO is 2 weeks the first 0-5 years, 3 weeks 5-10 years, 4 weeks 10+ years. 7 paid holidays and 3 sick days
