Responsibilities
Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs and HMIs to ensure proper system operation.
Diagnose equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Modify and develop electrical schematics using standard drafting and electrical practices.
Support equipment uptime by coordinating with maintenance teams and service providers.
Assist and oversee third-party contractors as needed.
Interface with customers to troubleshoot automation systems and provide technical guidance or training.
Prepare technical documentation and reports.
Communicate effectively with technical teams and leadership.
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Travel up to 33% of the time.
Essential Skills
Experience working within Material Handling Equipment.
Ability to develop and program PLC/HMI, particularly Allen-Bradley.
Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
Proficiency in PLC programming, Automation, and Electrical troubleshooting.
Experience in Robotics, Controls engineering, and AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in managing multiple priorities.
Work Environment
Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week when not traveling.
During travel, expect to leave on a Sunday and return the following Saturday, with a workweek of 50 hours.
The role requires working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wyoming, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
