Job Description:
The Manufacturing Process Technician supports and maintains manufacturing processes to ensure safe, quality and efficient production. This role focuses on process setup, monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvement while working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Production teams.
What You Will Do:
Support new product introduction (NPI/NSI), line transfers and process modification activities, monitor equipment installation, debugging, and integration, assist in resolving process- and equipment-related issues on site for new process/equipment
Assist MEs to set up, adjust and maintain manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling according to product specifications, and monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and process stability
Diagnoses and resolve basic process and equipment-related issues and assists manufacturing engineers in root cause analysis and corrective actions validation.
Work closely with MEs and Production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement by participating in process optimization and efficiency projects, supporting error-proofing development, introducing new automated equipment etc.
Assist MEs to complete process documents establishment and upgrade, including process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan and SWS/SWES documents.
Provide basic operation/process change/troubleshoot training to line operators, maintenance technicians
Other duties assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or process technician role, Familiar with basic knowledge of manufacturing engineering.
Intermediate proficiency computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to read and understand technical documentation in English.
