Job Description
City Market, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Liquor Store Manager to oversee operations of our attached liquor store in Wrangell, Alaska.
This position is responsible for managing daily operations, maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and ensuring a clean, organized, and customer-friendly environment. The Liquor Store Manager plays a key role in inventory control, product presentation, and delivering consistent, respectful customer service.
The ideal candidate is responsible, detail-oriented, and confident in leading operations with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the liquor store
- Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol regulations
- Manage inventory, ordering, and product rotation
- Maintain accurate pricing, labeling, and product displays
- Ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment
- Provide excellent customer service and handle customer inquiries or concerns
- Monitor and enforce age verification and responsible sales practices
- Support and communicate with store leadership as needed
Qualifications
- Previous retail or management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of responsibility and compliance (experience with alcohol sales a plus)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Dependable and consistent with strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
