Job Description
City Market, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dependable Meat Cutter to join our team at our locally owned, family-operated grocery store in Wrangell, Alaska.
This position is responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety. The Meat Cutter plays an important role in delivering a positive customer experience by ensuring fresh, well-presented products and providing helpful, knowledgeable service.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare meat products according to company standards
- Maintain quality, freshness, and proper product rotation
- Package, label, and display products in an organized and appealing manner
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are strictly followed
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and well-maintained
- Assist customers with product questions and special requests
- Work collaboratively with team members to support overall store operations
Qualifications
- Previous meat cutting experience preferred (training may be available for the right candidate)
- Knowledge of meat cuts, food safety, and handling procedures preferred
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to lift (adjust weight if needed) and stand for extended periods
