Job Title: Heavy Equipment / Maintenance Technician
Location: Worthington, MN
Pay: Competitive, DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
About the Role:
Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work with heavy equipment? Join a growing scrap facility in Worthington as a Maintenance Technician ! In this role, you’ll repair and maintain processing equipment, conveyors, and heavy machinery like excavators and front-end loaders. This is a great opportunity to put your skills to work in a safe, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and service equipment to identify damages or malfunctions
Perform preventative maintenance tasks according to schedule
Maintain equipment including brakes, steering systems, wheel bearings, and hydraulics
Ensure all equipment and facilities comply with safety standards
Operate hand and power tools and forklifts as needed
Assist with other maintenance duties as assigned
Requirements:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
Previous mechanical or heavy equipment maintenance experience preferred
Ability to operate hand and power tools, forklifts, and assemble heavy mechanisms
Physically able to stand, sit, lift, bend, and climb throughout the shift
Valid driver’s license preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
