Cargill Maintenance Technician (Part Time, On Call) in Worksop, United Kingdom

About the role
We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Maintenance Technician to support site operations at our Worksop facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, hands on engineer seeking a reduced hours role within a fast paced production environment
Please note: This role includes a significant on call commitment, so we are looking for candidates who are comfortable with this level of responsibility.
Work Pattern
This role is structured around a 3 week cycle:
Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Week 2: 6:00am – 2:00pm
Week 3: 10:00am – 6:00pm
Core Hours (Part Time):
2 days per week (16 hours)or
Up to 50% hours (5 days over a 2 week period) depending on business needs and candidate preference
On Call Requirement (Key Part of Role)
1 full week on call in every 3 week cycle (Week 3)
On call covers evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays (if applicable)
A weekly allowance is paid during your on call week
This is paid in addition to your base salary
Additional payments are made for any call outs or site attendance
Key Accountabilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
Diagnose faults across mechanical and electrical systems
Support continuous operation of production and site equipment
Maintain high standards offood safety, hygiene and GMP compliance
Complete maintenance documentation and follow permit to work procedures
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Previous maintenance experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or similar environment
Multi skilled capability with both mechanical and electrical fault finding
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Flexible approach to working hours and on call requirements
Desirable:
Recognised engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship)
Experience with PLC fault finding or automated systems
