CVS Health Senior Software Development Engineer in Work at Home, Minnesota

Position Summary

As a Sr. Software Developer, you will design and develop full‑stack solutions for CVS Health’s Corporate Intranet, working across CMS front‑end, back‑end services, and user repositories.

You will define system scope, build proof‑of‑concepts, enhance performance, and support existing web applications.

The role requires expertise in databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud platforms (GCP preferred), identity systems (Azure AD/LDAP), and REST/SCIM integrations.

You will collaborate with product and architecture teams, manage large datasets, and apply AI/ML concepts to improve reporting and application capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in development and production support.

  • 8+ years' experience collaborating with product managers architecture teams and scrum teams on application architecture, data architecture, roadmap planning, functional design specifications; assist with other project deliverables as needed.

  • 8+ years' experience with Database and Management technologies including both relational and NoSQL DBs.

  • 5+ years' experience with Cloud based applications and database configuration (GCP preferred).

  • 5+ years' experience in design, building and managing very large datasets to build domain based reporting.

  • 3+ years' experience in AI/ML concepts, focusing on training models and extracting reports based on the AI recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full-stack solution design and development (database, APIs, services, front-end)

  • Accountable to formulate / define system scope and objectives to meet project deliverables, ensuring that established timelines and cost estimates are maintained.

  • Assess and evaluate different design approaches at hand that are relevant to the business problem and provide recommendations. Develop proof of concepts when necessary to prove out key implementation challenges of new and existing web applications.

  • Establish proper Web application performance and efficiency guidelines and procedures and drive the development team to adopt and adhere to the same guidelines.

  • Evaluate emerging web technologies to improve current applications, architectures and processes.

  • Expert knowledge in Content Management system, manages and administers user profile from Azure AD and HR systems.

  • Test and debug issues and improve performance of existing web applications.

  • General understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure AD, and LDAP based authentication systems.

  • Ability to clearly define and present solution development ideas in a team environment.

  • Experience with one or more of the following: REST/SCIM API integration

  • Be well versed with creating flow diagrams to be able to effectively showcase problems with data synchronization between HR and Identity Management systems.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in in computers (preferred), or IT a equivalent engineering degree required.

  • Master's degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$92,700.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
