Position Summary
The Legal Department is seeking a part-time, skilled and motivated Legal Assistant to join the Litigation Team. This role requires a high level of professionalism, organizational skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality. The Legal Assistant will perform various Paralegal tasks for the Litigation Team related to subpoenas and litigation matters across the Healthcare Business (HCB) and assist the team in identifying trends and risks through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Independently manage third-party subpoenas and requests for records from state/government agencies, and other requestors to securely provide sensitive data and responsive documents, in accordance with applicable state laws and company policies.
Provide comprehensive support to in-house attorneys in managing cases related to No Surprise Bill Act (NSA) and SIU investigations along with other administrative proceedings.
Facilitate the discovery process by issuing legal holds, coordinating document and data collections, track key deadlines, deliverables, and action items ensuring timely compliance.
Lead or contribute to special legal projects and initiatives as assigned.
Assist with intake process of litigation matters and other administrative functions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to gather facts, documents, and other case-related materials to support legal strategy.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Demonstrate analytical ability, good communication skills and judgment along with great organizational skills in managing litigation matters.
Knowledge of Health Care benefits.
Knowledge of state and federal court systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of legal experience
2+ years of research experience
EDUCATION
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$26.74 - $71.30
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
