CVS Health Manger - Business Analysis in Work at Home, Connecticut

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Claim/Network and Provider organization. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and translating business needs into high-quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications. You will be responsible for creating Epics, Features, and Stories within specified time frames to solve complex problems. This role requires working with multiple interfaces across various systems and business units, considering the end-to-end perspective of all impacted components.

As a Business Analyst, you will also act as a lead on projects, ensuring that other Business Analysts assigned to the project complete their deliverables with high quality and on time. You will work in an Agile scrum team environment, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architecture, and other IT partners. Your practical experience with Lean-Agile practices and tools such as RTC and Rally will be essential in driving the success of the projects.

Responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

  • Creates and executes specific deliverables and activities as part of a team assigned to a business-sponsored IT project.

  • Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete.

  • Serve as an expert in one or more business systems.

  • Apply specific functional and/or business expertise to perform assigned tasks and develop specific project deliverables.

  • Conducts impact analysis of technology changes on business processes and existing technology.

  • Competent to work at the highest technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.

  • Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies.

  • Develops User-Interface Models for projects and maintains up-to-date system documentation, including business workflow diagrams.

  • Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the end user community, business partners, product owners, architecture and scrum teams.

  • Completes project activities on time and within budget, taking proactive measures to identify and communicate any issues that may jeopardize milestones, allowing for timely resolution.

  • Champions DevSecOps, Agile and Scaled Agile principles, promoting best practices, optimization and continuous improvement throughout project life cycle.

  • Guides and advises less-experienced Business Analysts, providing mentorship and support to help develop their skills and deliver high-quality work.

  • Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems, ensuring that the solutions meet the needs and requirements for the organization.

  • Utilize excellent presentation and communication skills, effectively collaborating with partners outside of IT and engaging with business leaders as required to gather insights and ensure alignment between IT solutions and business objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Business Analyst experience and/or IT Analyst experience.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of healthcare systems, healthcare regulations and insurance processes, ensuring that all business process and solutions comply with industry standards and legal requirements.

  • Strong experience working with Agile frameworks and Agile metrics, demonstrating a deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.

  • Proven experience in refining program backlogs in collaboration with product owners and scrum teams, framing clear Epics, Features, Stories, and acceptance criteria using tools such as RTC or Rally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in analyzing complex healthcare data, the X12 837 and 835 industry standard format and mapping of data, using tools like SQL, Excel, and generating actionable insights.

  • Experience working on large programs and technical planning events, both in-person and virtual, showcasing the ability to navigate complex projects and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with dynamic collaborative tools such as WebEx and MS Teams, enabling seamless communication and collaboration in virtual environments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business or IT field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
