Saint-Gobain Manufacturing Intern in WORCESTER, Massachusetts
The Manufacturing Intern will support day-to-day manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance activities within a production environment. This role offers hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, documentation, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support manufacturing and engineering teams with process documentation, data updates, and record maintenance
Assist with process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and cost-saving activities
Participate in basic data analysis, reporting, and tracking of operational metrics
Support equipment reliability and troubleshooting efforts, including documentation of issues and observations
Assist with manufacturing systems and tools, such as work order systems, process folders, or internal databases
Help maintain accurate and organized documentation related to manufacturing operations
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and IT teams on routine manufacturing support tasks
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow established procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in manufacturing processes, equipment, or automation
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or process concepts
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Work Environment
Combination of manufacturing floor and office environment
May require standing, walking, or working near manufacturing equipment while following safety protocols
