Kelly Services Machine Operator (Production) in Worcester, Massachusetts
Job Title: Production Machinist I
Location: Worcester, MA 01606
Schedule: Mon to Fri, 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: USD 20-30$ (according to experience)
Contract: W2 under staffing supplier; with a 4-month duration (temp to hire)
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years machining experience (technical school/apprenticeship or CNC operation preferred)
Able to read blueprints, use machinist handbook, basic math, and computer skills
4–6 months experience needed to work independently
Responsibilities
Operate machining equipment (lathes, saws, mills, grinders) to produce precision metal parts
Select tools, set up machines, follow clear work orders and blueprints
Make general material distinctions and manual machine adjustments for tolerances
Inspect own work, maintain quality standards, and document tasks
Collaborate with higher-level machinists and support process improvement
Create/modify basic fixturing with assistance
Working Conditions
Frequent standing, walking, occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs)
Exposure to noise, dust, moving mechanical parts, coolants, and abrasive materials
PPE required (gloves, safety shoes, masks, hearing/eye protection)
