Worx Printing Cooperative is seeking an experienced Heat Press Operator to join our team. We are a startup, worker owned, union printing cooperative supporting fair labor standards and social responsibility. We supply promotional products to our Democratic Partners offering printed goods sourced and manufactured in the USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing hands-on operation of shirt, hat, and mug heat presses. Additionally, the candidate will support Direct to Garment printing, picking, packing, and shipping on an as needed basis. You are self-directed, motivated, and have an excellent eye for detail. Responsibilities \ Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations. \ Coordinate effective staging of jobs to be printed. \ Prioritize daily workload reviewing work orders and client specific specifications. \ Set up and operate heat presses per each job requirement. \ Review work orders and specifications to confirm accuracy of print and size. \ Inspect printed products to ensure conformance to specifications and quality. \ Carry out maintenance on presses and production equipment per planned schedules. \ Report all production and equipment related issues in a timely manner. \ Understand manufacturing workflow and look for opportunities to improve capabilities. \ Support additional areas of production as needed including picking, folding, bagging, tagging, boxing, and shipping products. Qualifications \ High School diploma or GED \ Experience operating and maintaining heat press equipment. \ Ability to learn the various roles and equipment that support daily operations. \ A team player with a positive attitude who is punctual and reliable. \ Proactive, detail-oriented, and results driven. \ Monitors own work to ensure quality production and accuracy. \ Ability to communicate with co-workers. \ Dependable and flexible with the ability to arrive on time and work required hours. \ Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. \ Interest in supporting non-profit organizations. \ Exposure to Stahl\'s, Brother, and Adelco equipment is a plus.
