* $500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days)*
Position: Bi-Lingual Employment & Training Specialist 1- Full Time
Location: Worcester, MA with regular travel to the Central Middlesex Area (Littleton, Acton, Boxborough, Stow, and Maynard, MA) (Mileage reimbursement available)
Rate of Pay: $23.84 per hour, plus $40 bi-weekly stipend for second language
Hours: 40 Hours per week; Monday- Friday between 9:00am-5:00pm with flexibility for evening and weekend hours as needed
Summary:
The Employment Specialist assists individuals in achieving long-term personal and career success by connecting them with community resources, employment opportunities, job training, and educational programs. This role involves developing relationships with local employers, supporting clients through resume development, job applications, interview preparation, and providing ongoing workplace support. The specialist promotes independence and self-sufficiency through skill-building in communication, adaptability, and problem solving. Additional responsibilities include vocational counseling, job development and placement, employer outreach and education, and maintaining strong customer and community relationships.
Requirements:
Demonstrated fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish
Associate’s degree with 1 year of related experience or High School diploma/HiSET/GED with 3 years of related experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, with effective time-management abilities
Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft programs and email
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and willingness to transport program members using a personal or agency vehicle
Ability to travel within the region to residential settings, employers, and community organizations
