Daisy Brand Warehouse & Palletizing Operator in Wooster, Ohio

Description

While managing a 24/7 production operation, the Daisy Brand Replenishment Team strives to provide a work-life balance with an average of 45 hours/week. Position Overview

The Daisy Brand Replenishment Technician performs a full range of warehousing duties including operating automated palletizing and blast cooling equipment, staging pallets, using forklifts, in designated racking through RFID technology. Responsibilities also include loading/unloading trucks and order picking.

Principal Duties

  • Transport pallets from rack staging areas to designated area using stand-up forklift.

  • Interface with automated inventory tracking systems.

  • Ability to read, understand, execute, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on automated palletizers, conveyors, and blast coolers.

  • Compares identifying information and counts.

  • Affixes shipping labels on and inspects outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

  • Accurately pick cases for customer orders

  • Responsible for maintaining quality control, production goals, proper rotation of products, and inventory accuracy.

  • Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), housekeeping and safe work practices.

  • Other duties and special projects as requested.

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required. College courses/technical training preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere using powered industrial equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, stock pickers, etc.) preferred.

  • Strong mechanical ability, troubleshooting skills and detail-orientation.

  • Strong quantitative problem solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must be able to understand and follow all GMP and Safety requirements.

  • Ability to learn each SKUs TiHi pattern.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work in a cold environment (34°).

    Pay Rate

    Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. Entry level positions from $20/hr.

    10% premium pay for off-hours work.

    15% premium pay for weekend work.
