*Position Duties: *Plan, coordinate, and execute the support of transmission planetary carriers, one way clutches, torque converters, and value train components throughout all project phases while meeting quality, timing, cost and performance requirements and expectations. Review product requirements and specifications while considering compliance with design standards and customer requirements. Utilize SAP business management software and MS Office Applications to ensure continuous improvement. Manage and provide leadership and expertise in

planning, coordination, and execution within the vehicle and systems technology and production technologies. Utilize lean manufacturing principles throughout all of the project phases

while meeting quality, timing, cost and performance requirements and expectations. Conduct pre-planning, quotation, time scheduling and capacity planning of projects. Lead kick-off

meetings. Perform system project progress reviews and cost studies. Provide executive review status reports. Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing,

procurement, and quality to deliver new product launches involving 10+ precision production processes. Identify production and supplier risks early and develop mitigation plans, avoiding late delivery costs and maintaining profit margins. Deliver aftermarket product development projects to meet aggressive market entry deadlines while maintaining internal profitability

targets. Collaborate with internal quality and engineering teams to support completion of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), control plans, and capability studies for Production Part Approval Process (PAPP) submissions to OEM customers. Ensure successful product and process validation prior to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) through structured testing and capability studies.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the position offered, as a Mechanical Engineer or a related position. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Managing projects in an industrial environment; Custom equipment for manufacturing; Production technologies with consideration of lean manufacturing principles; Reviewing product requirements and specifications while considering compliance with design standards and customer requirements; Performing validation and testing of new machinery to ensure that it meets exacting standards for product quality and performance stability; Product development process: Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP); and scheduling software: MS project. Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and PRINCE 2 Practitioner Certification. Telecommuting permitted two days per week.
