Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Real Estate Automation & Technology is responsible for governing external vendors and delivery partners supporting enterprise technology, artificial intelligence, and automation initiatives across Real Estate, Construction, and Property Admin. This role ensures vendors and projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with enterprise AI/automation governance, security, compliance, and architectural standards. The Senior Manager drives execution discipline across a portfolio of initiatives, manages delivery risk, and ensures contracts, spend, and outcomes align with approved business objectives. This role partners closely with IT, AI, data, security, procurement, finance, and business leaders to translate strategy into compliant, scalable execution.
Additional Responsibilities
Vendor Management & Performance Governance – 30%
Own end‑to‑end vendor management for IT, AI, analytics, and automation partners, including onboarding, performance tracking, issue resolution, and offboarding.
Establish vendor governance practices including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews.
Hold vendors accountable to delivery commitments, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
Serve as escalation point for vendor performance, scope, and delivery risks.
Program & Project Management – 25%
Lead a portfolio of IT, AI, and automation‑enabled initiatives across multiple vendors and internal team supporting Real Estate, Construction, and Property Admin.
Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
Drive consistent execution cadence, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
Ensure smooth transition of solutions from implementation to steady‑state operations, including documentation and support readiness.
AI & Automation Governance Alignment – 20%
Act as a delivery liaison to centralized AI, data, security, risk, legal, and compliance teams to ensure initiatives supporting our properties align with enterprise governance standards.
Ensure AI and automation solutions adhere to responsible AI principles, data privacy requirements, model risk controls, and architectural standards.
Embed governance checkpoints, documentation requirements, and acceptance criteria into project plans and vendor SOWs.
Support audits, reviews, and compliance inquiries related to AI, automation, and vendor‑delivered solutions.
Procurement, Contracting & Financial Management – 15%
Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Finance on RFPs, Pilots/POC’s, vendor selection, SOWs, renewals, and contract amendments.
Ensure contracts clearly define scope, governance responsibilities, security requirements, and deliverables.
Track vendor spend, manage budget forecasts, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
Monitor scope changes and enforce appropriate change control.
Stakeholder & Executive Communication – 10%
Build strong relationships with IT, AI, data, automation, procurement, finance, and business leaders.
Provide executive‑level visibility into vendor health, delivery status, risks, and governance posture.
Present tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to support informed leadership decisions.
Source new Use Cases to build out pipeline for AI model testing/POC for future growth and efficiencies to support our properties.
Management & Leadership Authority
May serve as a people leader and/or manage contract resources, consultants, or vendor staff.
Provides delivery direction, prioritization, and performance feedback to vendors and project resources.
Influences investment decisions, vendor selection, and delivery approach through data‑driven recommendations.
Exercises discretion over project execution, vendor performance decisions, and issue escalation.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in vendor management, IT program/project management, or technology delivery.
Demonstrated experience managing third‑party vendors delivering enterprise technology solutions.
Experience working in governance‑driven or regulated delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with our Real Estate, Construction, and Property Administration process/portfolio/projects.
Experience supporting AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives.
Familiarity with enterprise AI governance, data governance, and security frameworks.
Experience partnering with Procurement and Legal on technology contracts.
PMP, Agile, ITIL, or similar certification.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
