Adecco US, Inc. Field Service Electrical Technician in Woonsocket, Rhode Island
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Electrical/Mechanical Technician to support customers in the field by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery. This hands?on role combines mechanical repair, electrical diagnostics, and professional customer interaction. You will travel to customer facilities to install equipment, resolve issues, and ensure machinery operates efficiently. Every day brings new challenges, problem?solving opportunities, and direct impact on customer production uptime.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
Assist with equipment installation, alignment, and machine startup.
Verify electrical wiring, mechanical components, and safety checks.
Support on?site commissioning alongside company engineers as needed.
Troubleshooting & Repair
Diagnose and repair electrical components including sensors, drives, motors, and control panels.
Perform mechanical adjustments, repairs, and component replacements.
Determine root cause issues and recommend long?term solutions.
Customer Interaction & Support
Serve as the on?site company representative during service visits.
Communicate clearly with customer maintenance teams and supervisors.
Provide basic machine operation training when required.
Documentation
Complete detailed service reports, parts usage, and job summaries.
Communicate follow?up needs to internal service and engineering teams.
Qualifications
Required
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
Experience working with industrial equipment, maintenance, or field service.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics/drawings.
Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors, and industrial control hardware.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly.
Strong customer communication and professionalism.
Preferred
Experience with PLC?controlled machinery.
Exposure to web handling, winding, plastics, or converting equipment.
Previous field service experience.
Work Environment
Frequent travel to customer manufacturing facilities.
Hands?on work in industrial settings.
Independent role with support from service and engineering teams based in Woonsocket.
