Valley Transportation Bus Monitor in Woonsocket, Rhode Island
The Bus Monitor supports the safe transportation of students by assisting the School Bus Driver and ensuring a secure, orderly environment on the bus. This position focuses on student supervision and safety during daily routes and school-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus
Ensure students follow safety rules and district policies
Assist students with special needs, including securing seat belts, harnesses, or mobility devices
Maintain order and address behavioral concerns appropriately
Communicate incidents or concerns to the bus driver and school administration
Provide assistance during emergency evacuations and drills
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
