The Role
As a result of our robust growth, we are adding an Operational Support Specialist to join our team of professionals in our Shoreland Transport Inc. office in Woodstock, NB. This role will report to the Operations Manager. We are looking for a driven professional who takes initiative and has the ability to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Principal Responsibilities
Support after hours operations: 1400 to 2200 Monday to Friday
Day to day functions
Answer and support Driver calls
Handle all Breakdowns
Monitor Reefers using the on-board software
Assist with plans and / or updates of the fleet when needed
ACE and ACI creation, submission
Customer Service Support
Track and Trace for customers
Updates sent to customers as needed
Carrier follow up
Monitor load tenders – update orders are needed
Vacation Coverage – as needed, when required
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation, distribution, or supply chain
College/University degree preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with databases
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
