Rogers Corporation Intern in Woodstock, Connecticut
Summary:
Rogers Corporation is seeking an Intern to support day-to-day operations/engineering improvements and projects.
Essential Functions:
• Learn the site's manufacturing processes. Document current-state manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse processes through direct observation and collaboration with operations staff. Assist in troubleshooting efforts.
• Develop, update, and standardize work instructions and process documentation to ensure work instructions are clear and accurate.
• Contribute to process optimization, cost saving, and streamlining initiatives. Lead one short term project.
• Contribute to safety related projects and investigations
Qualifications:
• A student who has completed their sophomore year toward a BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Due to ITAR regulations must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Completion of junior year toward a BS degree is preferred.
