Smurfit Westrock Machine Operator- 2nd shift in Woodridge, Illinois
General Purpose: The Machine Operator fully operates and maintains the machine to meet production deadlines.\u202F
Essential Functions:
\u2022 Operate equipment in the most safe, efficient, and consistent manner
\u2022 Maintain machine workflow to meet project deadlines
\u2022 Read job tickets and initiate machine set-ups per job ticket specifications
\u2022 Count, pack, and label sleeves, cartons, and skids
\u2022 Perform preventive maintenance on machines as needed
\u2022 Ensure 6S practices are being followed
Qualifications:
\u2022 Experience with manufacturing equipment and machine maintenance
\u2022 High school diploma or G.E.D.
\u2022 Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
\u2022 Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience
\u2022 Intermediate computer skills
\u2022 Ability to work overtime as needed; overtime may be required during busy periods\u202F
\u2022 Ability to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
