Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as a hands-on technical expert within the Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Maintenance Department, providing primary support to production by troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure maximum output. This role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and improving a wide range of automated mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic production equipment while driving preventive maintenance and collaborating closely with Production and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing equipment downtime issues promptly to support continuous production and maximize equipment availability.
Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machinery by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
Dismantle equipment and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and a variety of hand and power tools to perform repairs and component replacements.
Monitor and control equipment downtime by communicating routine preventive maintenance techniques to production personnel and ensuring adherence to maintenance schedules.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 4–6 years of experience as a Production Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for automated mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
Proven ability to interpret and work from manuals, diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (4-year) or Associate degree (2-year) in a relevant technical field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
Knowledge of and experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), including basic troubleshooting or support.
Experience performing or supporting equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols.
Experience in automation, robotics, and advanced sensing technologies, such as fiber optic sensors, is highly beneficial.
Ongoing commitment to professional development through technical workshops, training, and self-directed learning
Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility within the Manufacturing Engineering Equipment Maintenance Department, working closely with production lines and engineering teams. The environment involves hands-on work with automated mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems, including motors, conveyor systems, actuators, sensors, fiber optics, and PLC-controlled equipment. You will regularly use hand and power tools, hoists, cranes, precision measuring devices, and electronic test equipment such as multimeters. The position requires working on and around active production machinery, following strict safety procedures and cleanliness standards to maintain a safe and orderly workspace. Work hours are typically aligned with production needs, and the role may require flexibility to respond to equipment issues and support preventive maintenance activities during off-peak times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodinville, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.30/hr.
