Robert Half Payroll Accountant in Woburn, Massachusetts
Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll operations for a multi-state workforce. This role requires expertise in full-cycle payroll, tax reporting, and familiarity with Dayforce or similar HCM payroll systems. This is a long-term contract position based in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Process multi-state payroll for employees, adhering to varying state-specific requirements.
• Utilize Dayforce to handle payroll operations efficiently and troubleshoot any system-related issues.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax reports, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support payroll-related audits and reporting.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
• Proven experience with full-cycle payroll processing, including multi-state payroll management.
• Proficiency in using Dayforce for payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax reporting requirements and compliance.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to address payroll-related inquiries effectively.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
