Amergis Group Home LPN - Burlington, MA in Woburn, Massachusetts
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much respected facility in Burlington, MA who is currently seeking an LPN to assist at their DDS group home on a contractual basis.
Details of the position include:
Location: Burlington, MA
Duration: 13 weeks to start with possibility of extension
Setting: DDS
Openings:
- Tuesday-Friday 8-4 or 9-5
Salary: $50/hr LPN
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Perform comprehensive health assessments and ongoing monitoring of individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABIs) and significant medical and developmental challenges.
The person needs to be familiar with MAP (medication administration program)
Administer medications, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
Candidate should have ability to do catheter care
Candidate must assist with bringing residents to appointments as needed
Develop and implement individualized health care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Monitor for signs of distress, illness, or behavioral changes and respond appropriately.
Provide emergency care and coordinate with external medical providers when necessary.
Maintain detailed and confidential medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in ISP meetings and contribute to person-centered planning.
Advocate for the medical needs and rights of individuals served.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current RN or LPN license in the state of MA.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with severe developmental disabilities or in a similar setting.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to medical emergencies.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
CPR and First Aid certification required; additional training in behavioral support or crisis intervention preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
Current Licensed Practical Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
Current BLS card
Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the LPN practices with a score of 80% or greater
Successful completion of Background Screening Process
