Novant is looking for a Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Coordinator in the Operating Room. As a RN Clinical Coordinator you will function as a role model, facilitator, mentor and coach for all clinical and support staff.
Schedule: 6:45A-3:15P (five 8 hour shifts), full-time, 40 hours. Monday-Friday. No call other than some holiday call rotation required.
Department: Operating Room
Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.
Unit Info: 17 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.
Requirements: This position requires an RN license with at least two years of OR RN experience & charge nurse or comparable experience.
What You'll Do
Helps coordinate work shift activities in the clinical area.
Assists the Nurse Manager with continuous quality improvement, personnel utilization, performance appraisals, resource usage and budget management, and maintenance of standards of care.
Able to provide care to patients on designated units.
Responsible for communicating between anesthesia, surgeons, leadership, and staff while working.
This person will be responsible for the orthopedics & podiatry service lines.
What We're Looking For
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program; High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. B.S. in Nursing or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience as a Regsiterned Nurse in a clinical acute care environment, required. Previous leadership experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as an RN, required.
Additional Skills (required): Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
