Department: General Medical Surgical II
Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: PRN, Day Shift - 7am to 3pm
PRN Requirements: Must work 4 shifts within the six week scheduling period
We are a 30 ‑ bed adult acute care unit offering medical ‑ telemetry (Med ‑ Tele) services, bridging general medical ‑ surgical care and intensive care. Med ‑ Tele serves a broad and varied patient population—cardiac, neurologic, respiratory, sepsis, electrolyte imbalance, stroke, and post ‑ procedure patients.
Our leadership team includes a Nurse Manager supported by two Assistant Nurse Managers. We deliver care in a supportive team model, ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient experience

What You'll Do
The Care Associate provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
What We're Looking For
Education : High School Diploma or GED, required.
Licensure/Certification: Completion Novant Health sponsored training program, required. Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required. Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant training, required.
Additional Skills (required): Upon completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program, the Care Associate works within the guidelines of nursing and Novant Health policies and procedures. Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills.
Additional Skills (preferred): Basic computer skills for documentation. Medical Unit Receptionist (MUR) and Safety Attendant duties may be assigned as determined by unit leaders and unit needs. If needed in the MUR role, the Care Associate must be able to perform the MUR skills as indicated in the MUR job description. If needed in the Safety attendant role, the Care Associate must complete appropriate training and be able to perform the Safety Attendant skills as indicated in the Safety Attendant job description.
