Salary Range: $19.13 To $22.50 Hourly

NOW HIRING: We are looking for a Production Operator to join our Transportation & Infrastructure (Pole) Business Unit. The Production Operator is responsible for entry level manufacturing tasks in accordance with product specifications.

Location: Winsted, MN

Salary Range: $19.13 - 22.50 per hour (non-exempt)

(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)

Shift Schedule: 1st shift: Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm, 2nd shift: Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1am, Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday 5am – 5pm

Shift Differential: 1st shift - N/A, 2nd shift - $1.50/hour, OR Weekend shift - $2.50/hour

As a Production Operator, you will:

  • Perform clean-up, grinding, drilling, straightening, blast booth, cutting, galvanizing process preparation and general production support tasks

  • Use hoist or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required

  • Examine finished products for defects

  • Accurately label all parts for routing to next operation

  • Monitor the production board and internal paperwork to perform tasks in the designated sequence

  • Enter job data in production tracking system

  • Ensure use of safe work procedures and wear all required PPE

  • Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements

  • Follow company policies in relation to safety, cleanliness, attendance etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested

    Role Qualifications as a Production Operator:

  • Experience with mechanical machines or devices, preferring electrical and/or mechanical assembly

  • High attention to detail

  • Skill of effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills

  • Skill to operate various precision measuring tools and hand tools

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical drawings, operating instructions, procedures and prints

  • Ability to perform basic shop math functions

  • Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork in English

  • Ability to electronically record production information

  • Ability to work with others as part of a high-performance team

  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities

    Physical Demands: (Production)

    This position requires the individual to wear and work in company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE). This position requires that the individual can lift a minimum of 50lbs. And, if applicable, can maneuver large, cumbersome equipment with the use of an overhead crane and/or forklift. Must be able to work in, on, or around equipment and machinery. The employee may need to perform work with the use of ladders.
